    Intake for physiotherapy

The first appointment does not start from zero.

A large part of the first consultation goes to questions: when did it start, what makes it worse, what has already been tried. Triagen lets the patient answer those questions before the appointment. The physiotherapist starts with the story laid out and keeps time for examination and treatment.

    The problem

The intake eats the first treatment.

Whether by referral or direct access, every treatment relationship starts with the same questions. They are necessary, but they cost time in the treatment room and are often asked under pressure. The record still has to be complete: for the referrer, for billing and for the treatment plan. Triagen moves that questioning to a calm moment before the appointment.

    How it works

Three steps before the first consultation.

Triagen fits the practice's existing registration route. The physiotherapist remains the physiotherapist.

    1. 01

      Invitation after registration

After registration, by referral or direct access, the patient receives a secure link. No app, no account.

    2. 02

      Intake at their own pace

The patient describes the complaint, onset, course, earlier care and request for help in a chat conversation. Questions adapt to the answers.

    3. 03

      Structured overview for the physiotherapist

Complaint, course, limitations and expectations are summarised and ready. The first consultation starts with the examination, not with the history from scratch.

    What the physiotherapist sees

    The story, before the consultation.

Not loose answers, but a coherent picture. Every element traces back to what the patient said themselves.

Less time spent questioning in the treatment room

More room for examination and treatment

A complete record from the first consultation

    Privacy and compliance

    Built for health data.

A physiotherapy practice works with medical data. Triagen is designed for that.

    ISO 27001 and NEN 7510

The Triagen platform is certified for ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 by an RvA-accredited body. For us the baseline, not the finish line.

    GDPR, WGBO and professional confidentiality

The patient gives explicit consent before the intake. Only the treating physiotherapist and authorised colleagues see the information. A data processing agreement is available.

    Data in the Netherlands

Processing and storage in the Netherlands. Data does not leave the country and is never used to train AI models.

    The physiotherapist stays in charge

Triagen collects and structures. It does not diagnose, does not screen on your behalf and makes no decisions about treatment. That stays with the physiotherapist.

    Frequently asked questions

    What physiotherapists ask us.

Does Triagen replace the history taking?

No. Triagen prepares it. The patient tells their story in advance, the physiotherapist deepens, verifies and examines during the consultation. The conversation gets shorter at the front and more substantive after.

Does Triagen perform the direct-access screening?

No. Screening under direct access is and remains an act of the physiotherapist. Triagen makes sure the information you need for it is already structured and ready.

Does this work for patients who are less digitally skilled?

The intake is a chat conversation in plain language, without an app or account. It works on a phone, tablet or computer and is available in several languages. For anyone it does not suit, the regular history taking in the consultation remains available.

Does Triagen integrate with our electronic health record?

Triagen is open to integrations with existing systems. Our API is set up so an integration can be built relatively quickly. Get in touch to discuss which integration is relevant for your practice.

What does Triagen cost for a practice?

Pricing is on request and depends on the size of the practice. Get in touch for a proposal that fits your situation.
