AI transparency
How we use AI.
Triagen uses AI to guide an intake conversation. This page explains what that AI does and does not do, what happens to your data, and where that data lives. In plain language.
What the AI does
Guides the conversation
The AI assistant asks about your complaints and your situation, and follows up where needed.
Writes a summary
Afterwards it summarises the conversation so the healthcare professional does not have to read the whole thing.
Multilingual
The conversation can be held in different languages, so your intake is always easy to start.
What the AI does not do
No diagnosis
The assistant does not diagnose and makes no medical statements.
No medical decisions
It decides nothing about your treatment, your absence, or your work.
No judgement of urgency or fitness for work
It does not determine how serious your situation is, or whether you are able to work.
A healthcare professional always reviews and decides
The triage is supportive only: it produces a structured intake that a qualified professional works from. Every substantive judgement is made by a person.
You always know you are talking to AI
Before the conversation starts, you are told that you are speaking with an AI assistant and what your data is used for. The conversation only begins once you have agreed. You can stop at any time.
Your employer does not read the conversation
The content of your conversation and the summary go to the healthcare professional, who is bound by professional confidentiality. Your employer does not get access to what you said in the conversation.
Where your data lives
All personal data is stored and processed in the European Union. Our infrastructure runs in Google Cloud europe-west4 (Netherlands), authentication uses an EU-hosted Auth0 tenant, and our email provider hosts exclusively in the EU.
Your conversation is not used to train AI models.
More about our security, certifications and subprocessors is in our Trust Center.
Open Trust CenterOversight, correction and your rights
Is something in the summary wrong? The AI checks the summary with you before it goes to the healthcare professional. If you spot an error afterwards, tell the healthcare professional handling your intake.
You also have the usual GDPR rights: access, rectification and erasure. The organisation that invited you is the controller for your data; Triagen processes it on their instructions.
